MCV Campus Rec & Aquatic Center is closed through Mon,1/22, due to major HVAC system leak. Swim Lessons

VCU Rec Sports offers swim lessons for adults and children, including group lessons and private/semi-private swim lessons.


Aquatic Certifications help individuals work their way towards becoming lifeguards, lifeguard instructors, and water safety instructors.


VCU Recreational Sports Aquatics Program provides students and members the opportunity to develop a wide range of water-based skills, while having fun.

Water Exercise

A variety of water exercise classes are available at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center and MCV Campus Aquatic Center.

Special Swim Times

Rec Sports offers Female Only and Male Only swim time, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on alternating Friday nights at MCV Campus Aquatic Center. Monday-Friday nights we offer family swim time at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. Log Rolling Clinics will be offered on alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the semester at the Cary Street Gym

Log Rolling Clinics

Log Rolling Clinics are for all ages and skill levels to learn how to log roll. Trained instructors will teach you how a run on a key log. Based on experience level, there will be opportunities to increase the intensity, decrease the stability, and increase the fun by having friendly competitions!
