MCV Campus Recreation Center Facility Temporary Closure Announcement

January 18, 2018

The MCV Campus Recreation & Aquatic Center will be closed through Monday, January 22, due to a major HVAC system leak in the facility.

Rec Sports apologizes for the inconvenience, and we are working with contractors and the Facilities Maintenance Department to repair the issue as quickly as possible. We expect repairs to continue through Monday, January 22, and tentatively expect to reopen Tuesday, January 23. This is subject to change. Updates will be posted on our website, the Rec Sports Facebook page, and Rec Sports Twitter account.

All programs at MCV Campus Recreation Center are canceled through January 22.

Jonah L. Larrick Student Center remains open, including Jonah’s, the meeting/dining area and all conference rooms.

We invite our members to use Cary Street Gym, which is open at the following times:

Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Rec Sports members with parking permits at the 8th Street Deck can use reciprocal parking privileges at the Cary Street Deck, two blocks away from the Gym. For details visit VCU Parking and Transportation reciprocal parking page.

The VCU RamRide Campus Connector is also available, dropping riders off near the Cary Street Gym at either the Main and Laurel Street stop, or the Cabell Library stop.
