The Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the parent company of brands such as Alamo, Enterprise and National, offers extensive car rental, fleet management, car sales and other transportation services. Recreational Sports utilizes car rental for VCU Sport Club transportation around the country for competition and training.

"We have many sport clubs who utilize Enterprise vehicles for the purpose of transporting team members to and from away events. Our clubs traveled to over 175 away events this year alone. The local Richmond Enterprise reps have been great to work with and I'm confident that more and more clubs will rent vehicles from them in the future," Jordan Gardner, VCU Rec Sports Assistant Director for Structured Sports and Outreach said.

Based on this impact on students, Enterprise Holdings Foundation has gifted the Sport Club program $1,000 as part of a larger gift supporting athletic activities at VCU.

"The money donated this year will go towards helping us offset the cost for our annual Sport Club Honors Reception. However, if the Enterprise Holding Foundation chooses to donate to our clubs in the future, we would hope to use some of that funding for professional development purposes as well," Gardner said. "It was certainly unexpected however, we were thrilled and grateful to hear that our local Enterprise Rep, Amanda Grizzle, requested funding on behalf of the VCU Sport Clubs. We have established a great business rapport with the local Enterprise company and look forward to continuing our relationship with them."
