Small Group Training

 

We have several small group training programs in a variety of formats so that you can find your favorite way to exercise! These programs are designed to challenge and advance your fitness skills in a specialized area. SGT gives you the opportunity to work with a Certified Personal Trainer or specially certified coach in groups of 4-12 people at an affordable cost. Our coaches emphasize proper form and effective exercise progressions so you get the most out of your experience. By the end of the program, you master measurable skills and move through basic, intermediate and advanced classes as you progress. If you prefer working out with other people in a team-oriented setting, these classes are for you!

Fall 2017 Olympic-Style Weightlifting

Beginner and intermediate Olympic-Style Weightlifting classes are offered at Rec Sports. The beginner class is designed to teach proper squat and deadlift technique before moving onto the progressions of the Olympic Snatch, and the Clean and Jerk. The intermediate class is designed to touch on progressions of the Olympic Snatch, and the Clean and Jerk before moving onto the practice of form and technique for each lift.

All sessions will be held in the Power Training Room at MCV Campus Recreation Center.

Fall 2017 Women on Weights

Women On Weights (WOW) will teach you foundational methods of weight lifting, helping you achieve your fitness goals through strength training.
